  • It's FREE to set up an auction. We charge a 10% processing fee on all charges (bids and the price at which the item is sold).

  • The best way to get a donated auction item is through the people you know. Do any of your supporters own or work at a restaurant or hotel. Run a hair dressing salon or spa? Start with the people you know and work from there.

  • Ask the people who work there. You are looking for consistent cell service that is good enough to browse the internet with. You can also use the location's wifi as long as it is configured for a large number of people. Coffee shops and restaurants will often have a wifi that can only support a small number of people and, in that case, it's better to use cell service. Check this out before your Bonbids event.

  • You will need a laptop with internet access, a projector and a screen or white wall to project onto. Bonbids will provide you with your very own Leaderboard web page. Access the Leaderboard web page and project it onto a screen that everyone at your auction can see. The Leaderboard will run through the auction automatically so you will not need to fuss with it for the rest of the event. You will need to bring a second laptop to start the auction timers from your dashboard or else your dashboard will be projected onto the screen when you switch back and forth from your Leaderboard.

  • The same merchants who will donate an item to your auction will donate a consolation prize to the rest of your bidders. Ask them if they have a Buy One, Get One Free deal or a discount they've used in the past that you could distribute to your supporters. It will help them get more business! Bonbids also offers the option to give out FREE Bids as a consolation prize.
